Vaccines Update - January 2022

CMS recently issued updated guidance for ASCs regarding the mandate implementation and requirements. Under this guidance some deadlines that were initially proposed have been changed. The new deadlines that CMS will be following are as follows:

  • January 27, 2022: Facilities must ensure 100 percent of staff have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or have been granted (or have a pending request for) an exemption.
  • February 28, 2022: Facilities must ensure 100 percent of staff have received the necessary doses to complete the vaccine series or have been granted an exemption.
  • March 28, 2022: Facilities failing to maintain compliance may be subject to enforcement action on this date and thereafter.

COVID-19 Information Line - TDH has launched a Tennessee Coronavirus Public Information Line in partnership with the Tennessee Poison Center. The number is 877-857-2945 and is available daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. CDT.  People with concerns about their health should contact their health care providers.
